LA VILLA DARK ROAST coffees are roasted a little beyond what is called the “Second Crack”, which is the popping sound that the coffee bean itself makes as the pressure is released from the intense heat applied to the moisture from within the bean itself. The distinct characteristics of our DARK ROAST is a very robust, heavy bodied coffee taste, low acidity, with heavily caramelized sugars. This coffee works very well for Espressos, Macchiatos, or simple lattes.
