This tote is an image of an actual pencil drawing taken from a photograph by LA VAUGHN LANDRY of an elderly coffee harvest woman from La Laja Veracruz Mexico. The world “Jornalera” means “Journey Woman”. Coffee harvesters move around quite a bit from plantation to plantation throughout the harvest season seeking work. They are very humble and noble people of mostly indigenous decent. They are literally the very backbone of the coffee industry.
